VOLUNTEER

We need your help!

In addition to the daily husbandry of our wildlife patients onsite, our volunteers help support Woodland Wonders and the animals by rescuing in the field, fostering neonates in their homes, assisting in special events, building enclosures and educating the community.

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. They are the force behind our mission. We are always inspired by our volunteers’ devotion to the community responsibility of caring for our Florida wildlife.

How to become a volunteer:

  • Volunteers must be 16 or older. If under 16, see our youth volunteer opportunities.
  • Those wanting to volunteer now during our transition period will not require additional training. Once we begin to operate as usual, all  opportunities will require additional training.

Youth Volunteer Opportunities

  • Students under the age of 16 who wish to get involved can complete a donation drive in exchange for community service hours.
  • Email volunteer@woodlandwonders.org to schedule a donation drop off time or for more information

Group Volunteer Opportunities

Does your group want to give back to the wildlife in your community?
Woodland Wonders offers group volunteer opportunities for groups of 20 or less!

Your group will learn about Woodland Wonders, take a tour of our new facility and assist in an operational need.
During our transition period, we need helping hands who aren’t afraid to get dirty! If you are interested in scheduling
a group volunteer opportunity, please email our volunteer department at volunteer@woodlandwonders.org
